Sonny Yellow Face Parrot (Alipiopsitta Xanthos, previously Amazona Xanthos / Salvatoria Xanthos) is found in eastern and central Brazil and occasionally in adjacent Bolivia. Their preferred habitat includes semi-arid scrubland habitats with low trees (cerrado). Their numbers are declining and they have already disappeared in large areas of their former range.
